Muscle is Liu Gang's cameraman, a former survival-program operator who joins the livestream challenge inside the House of Horrors.

Biography

Narrative role

Muscle accompanies Liu Gang into the School of the Afterlife scenario to record a broadcast intended to expose Chen Ge's attraction. His nickname and prior work on survival programs establish him as the crew's physically imposing member; he boasts that filming around wild animals did not frighten him. Inside the school, however, supernatural pursuit steadily breaks that confidence. (Chapters 917–926)

He keeps the camera running while the team searches for an exit, then tries to escape with Liu Gang's male assistant as the group fragments. The scenario overwhelms both his professional composure and his ability to document events: he drops or loses the camera and is reduced to panicked screams before the challenge ends. He nevertheless survives the visit. (Chapters 927–939)

Appearance and personality

Muscle is a large, muscular man who initially treats physical courage as proof that the attraction cannot unsettle him. He is experienced and loyal enough to keep filming under pressure, but becomes increasingly panicked when strength and field experience offer no protection. (Chapters 917–939)

Skills and supernatural abilities

He is a professional cameraman with survival-program experience and the stamina to carry recording equipment through hazardous environments. He has no supernatural ability. (Chapters 917–929)

Relationships

Liu Gang employs Muscle and leads the livestream challenge. Muscle also works closely with Liu Gang's male assistant during their attempted escape, while Chen Ge controls the attraction that defeats the crew's broadcast plan. (Chapters 917–939)

Items

Muscle's video camera is his primary work tool and the means by which the challenge is meant to reach viewers. He eventually loses or drops it amid the panic; it has no supernatural property. (Chapters 917–939)
