Luo Ruoyu

Luo Ruoyu is Director Luo's deceased daughter, Chen Ge's childhood playmate, and the guardian spirit bound to New Century Park.

Biography

Narrative role

The Ghost Fetus's reconstruction of Chen Ge's childhood first presents Ruoyu through warm family memories and the tragedy that followed. She was born with Angelman syndrome, and her death became the reason Director Luo built New Century Park and placed her ashes there. Although those scenes are reconstructed, their family history is real: Chen Ge's parents treated her as their own child, while Chen regarded her as a younger sister and carried lasting guilt over failing to protect her. Ruoyu's soul remains at the park, usually sheltering inside a ragdoll Chen made for her. She once helped him escape the red house near Eastern Jiujiang Dam and was badly injured doing so; because her strength comes from New Century Park, she cannot leave its grounds. When Chen finally returns after the decisive conflict, Ruoyu waits outside the cubicle holding the doll, reunites with him, and helps care for his awakened parents. (Chapters 1041, 1209–1211)

Appearance and personality

Ruoyu is remembered as a trusting, childlike girl whose warmth made her part of both the Luo and Chen families. As a spirit she is closely associated with the handmade ragdoll she embraces, and her quiet patience—waiting for Chen even after years of separation—defines her more clearly than any detailed physical portrait. Skills and supernatural abilities

As New Century Park's guardian spirit, Ruoyu can protect people and oppose supernatural threats within the park's domain. Her power is geographically bound: leaving the park would strip it away. She can also reside within the ragdoll Chen made, using it as a vessel rather than appearing openly at all times. (Chapters 1041, 1209)

Relationships

Chen Ge is Ruoyu's childhood playmate and adoptive brother in practice; she once saved him, and he continues to see her as family. Director Luo is her biological father and built New Century Park in her memory. Chen Ge's parents accepted her soul as their daughter and, after awakening, are cared for by her at the Haunted House. Items

Ruoyu's ragdoll was handmade by Chen Ge and serves as her familiar refuge and spiritual vessel. It is an extension of her continued presence, not an object owned or wielded by another character. (Chapters 1041, 1209)
