Liu Dao is the studio operator who arranges and monitors Chen Ge's livestream from the abandoned Third Sick Hall. He works with Chen rather than accompanying Qin Guang's competing broadcast.

Liu Dao drives Chen Ge to the abandoned hospital, gives him a downloaded map, sets up the remote broadcast, and repeatedly reminds him to pace the exploration for viewers. As the stream exposes real captives and killers, Liu initially mistakes the danger for performance and suppresses demands to call the police, partly because the audience is breaking records. He eventually alerts law enforcement, meets Chen at the scene, and accepts responsibility for allowing the broadcast to continue too long. (Chapters 151–155, 171–185)

The story emphasizes Liu Dao's professional reactions rather than a detailed appearance. He is clever, practical, and genuinely worried about Chen's safety, but his experience in staged livestreaming makes him slow to accept that the violence is real.
