Lin Sisi is a bullied student whose name becomes the eastern campus's designation for living scapegoats. Chen Ge temporarily occupies that role, but his actions under the name do not make him the original Lin Sisi.

Biography

Bullied student and cursed identity

Lin Sisi was ostracized in Room 413, ignored by teachers, and lured to a haunted toilet through Wang Yicheng. A hand from behind the door drew him into the School of the Afterlife, where his name became both a curse for living arrivals and a hope of replacement for trapped spirits. When Chen Ge enters the school, everyone calls him Lin Sisi and he follows the student's phone, paintings, dormitory marks, and surviving memories until he reconstructs the real boy's fate. (Chapters 761–823)

The Painter's ally

The real Lin Sisi later appears as one of the Painter's principal allies. Grateful that the Painter pulled him from despair and preserved a beautiful memory, he defends the Painter's plan even though he is reluctant to kill. Lin transforms into gray fog, disables opposing spirits, and fights Chen Ge's group, then abandons the struggle when Zhang Ya overwhelms the school. He follows the Painter into the red city, leaving open the possibility of a later return. (Chapters 885–905)

Appearance and personality

Memories depict Lin as a thin male student marked by sustained bullying; his phone's self-portrait is faceless. As a spirit he can become gray fog. He is lonely and attention-seeking in life, but not innately cruel: even while fighting for the Painter, he avoids killing opponents who pass through his fog. (Chapters 787–823, 898–904)

Skills and supernatural abilities

Lin can transform into dense gray fog that obscures perception, draws in both ordinary spirits and Red Specters, and leaves survivors badly wounded and unable to fight. He can also borrow support from the School of the Afterlife's consciousness. The story does not assign him an explicit completed rank. (Chapters 889–904)

Relationships

  • Painter: Rescues Lin from despair and preserves his cherished memory. Lin becomes one of his closest defenders and follows him into the red city. (Chapters 898–905)
  • Wang Yicheng: A fellow victim who helps lure him to the toilet, regrets the betrayal, and is later forgiven by Lin. (Chapters 805–819)
