Li Jiu
Li Jiu is a cadaver transport worker who enters the underground morgue with his long-time colleague, Brother Wei. He is not identified as a doctor.
Biography
Trapped in the underground morgue
Li Jiu and Brother Wei accept a well-paid nighttime job moving chemical buckets through Jiujiang Medical University's morgue. Li's warnings about the building being haunted prove justified when doors open by themselves and cadavers leave their tubes. He later joins Ma Wei and follows Chen Ge into the red door at midnight, relying on Chen's protection while the morgue changes around them. Li and Ma Wei cannot leave through Chen's route and remain part of the door-world's population. (Chapters 424–437, 443)
Appearance and personality
Li Jiu is an adult laborer whose initial nervous complaints mask useful caution. He is frightened by the morgue's anomalies but continues helping his companions, notices changes in doors and corridors, and becomes more decisive once survival requires cooperation. (Chapters 424–435)
Skills and supernatural abilities
He knows the routines of cadaver transport, chemical handling, and the morgue's ordinary layout. He has no supernatural power; the shifting architecture and reanimated bodies repeatedly exceed his practical experience. (Chapters 424–437)
