Lee Bing

Lee Bing is a timid student in the School of the Afterlife who once sat beside Yan Fei. Chen Ge's resistance to their bullies gives him the courage to return to his friend.

Biography

Choosing to stand with Yan Fei

Lee Bing first warns Chen Ge through written notes while keeping his distance, convinced that resistance will only intensify the abuse. He nevertheless follows Chen, reports the danger to teachers, and finally helps him reach Yan Fei in the infirmary. Lee Bing apologizes for abandoning his former deskmate and promises that he will not run again; his familiar voice and shared history help Yan Fei respond where a stranger's reassurance could not. (Chapters 837–850)

Appearance and personality

Lee Bing describes himself as having a large, round face. He begins withdrawn, whispering or communicating by notes so that the bullies will not see him, but compassion repeatedly overcomes his fear. By the infirmary confrontation, guilt has developed into a cautious willingness to act. (Chapters 837–847)

As one of the school's lingering spirits, Lee Bing exists within the world behind the door, but he displays no named spectral technique or formal rank. His practical strength is his knowledge of the school and his ability to reach Yan Fei emotionally. (Chapters 837–850)
