Lan Dong

Lan Dong is a rationalist challenger who joins Liu Gang's larger group in the School of the Afterlife scenario with his companions Ah Li and Xiao Chun.

Biography

School of the Afterlife challenge

Lan Dong enters as a confident cryptology enthusiast who expects every supernatural effect to have a scientific explanation. He leads clue-solving, volunteers for a ritual game, takes keys from a ghost-baby prop, and searches Room 413 despite his companions' warnings. As real manifestations gather around him, his confidence gives way to fear, but he continues trying to reason through the attraction until the entire group is overwhelmed and removed for medical attention. Appearance and personality

Lan Dong is about 1.8 meters tall and wears thick black-rimmed glasses. He is analytical, outspoken, competitive, and easily carried away by a successful deduction. His loyalty to Ah Li and Xiao Chun persists even as his insistence on rational explanations places all three in greater danger. (Chapters 917–929)

Skills and supernatural abilities

He has an interest in cryptology, puzzle solving, and amateur investigations of supposedly haunted places. These are ordinary skills, and his explanations repeatedly fail once the scenario begins using genuine spirits. (Chapters 917–929)
