Jiang Long was an investor in Ming Yang Residence whose possession by the shadow helped turn his family home and Li Wan property into sites of violence. He is distinct from the unrelated ghost-fetus victim who uses the same name in Chapters 1026–1036.

Biography

Possession and the ruin of his family

Jiang Long invested in Ming Yang Residence and maintained a second home in Li Wan City. His son, Jiang Xiaohu, recalled that Jiang Long began speaking about a living shadow, abruptly changed personality, abducted victims, and trapped Xiao Bu's mother inside a doll. The possessed Jiang Long also destroyed his own family before dying in a Route 104 accident, leaving his wife and daughter missing and Jiang Xiaohu institutionalized. Appearance and personality

Jiang Long is reconstructed through testimony rather than shown in ordinary present-day scenes. He was once regarded as a gentle husband, but after the shadow's influence took hold he became violent, secretive, and indifferent to his family. The contrast is evidence of possession, not proof that every later act reflected his original personality. (Chapters 530–532)

Skills and supernatural abilities

He had the wealth and access needed to invest in Ming Yang Residence and maintain guarded properties. His apparent supernatural behavior came from the shadow controlling or replacing him; no independent spectral rank or personal supernatural ability is established. (Chapters 511, 532, 596–598, 622)

Relationships

  • Jiang Xiaohu: His son, whom he beat after the boy's increasingly dangerous behavior and who later recognized that his father had been changed by the shadow. (Chapters 530–533)
  • Zhang Chuyu and Jiang Bai: His wife and daughter. Both disappeared amid the destruction attributed to the possessed Jiang Long. (Chapters 530–533, 549, 661)
  • Xiao Bu and her mother: Jiang Long held Xiao Bu's mother captive in a doll, helping create the tragedy that led Xiao Bu to the door. (Chapters 528, 533, 548–550)

Items

His Li Wan apartment and hidden basement contained cages, mannequins, and evidence of the shadow's crimes, but no single portable signature item remains in his custody. (Chapters 533, 547–550, 661–679)
