The Hospital Director is the Demon God who controls the Cursed Hospital and attempts to seize Chen Ge, Patient Number 1, as the key to the red city.

Biography

Architect of false happiness

The Hospital Director builds a system that treats identity, memory, and human suffering as material for experimentation. To isolate Chen Ge from the people who give his life meaning, he creates a false Xin Hai, suppresses the memories and powers of Chen's allies, and offers a manufactured ordinary life in place of painful truth. His larger aim is control of the red city, whose power he believes Patient Number 1 can unlock. (Chapters 1159–1196)

When Chen Ge restores his allies, the director weaponizes curses, patients, and members of his own family while fighting Doctor Gao, Zhang Ya, the Painter, and the returning dead. He merges with the black fog and sacrifices his body for a larger final form, but the people he treated as expendable material rebel against him. The allied assault destroys both his hospital and his final body before the transformation can stabilize. (Chapters 1196–1208)

Appearance and personality

He first presents himself in a doctor's coat, using a controlled and persuasive manner that can imitate concern. His deeper form is a monstrous body threaded with curses and the faces of family members, and he eventually expands into the black fog itself. He is intellectual, manipulative, nihilistic, and more committed to his theory of death than to the lives of those closest to him. (Chapters 1159–1205)

Skills and supernatural abilities

As a Demon God, the director controls the Cursed Hospital's domain, erases or suppresses memories, applies curses through people and blood, and shapes bodies made from victims and family members. He can consume black-fog substance to enlarge himself and plan through multiple layers of false reality. His control weakens when numbered patients, relatives, and other supposed tools act against the roles he assigned them. (Chapters 1159–1205)
