Biography

Inheritances and Territorial War

Zhang Yang carries a dying Red-Skinned Orc's message to Roger Kluge. Roger explains that orc tribes operate through their own political divisions and that mining the Light of Miracle requires specialized magical equipment the tribe cannot readily afford. He then sends Zhang Yang to the Miracle Mining Cave to clear Blood Spiders and their king. When Zhang Yang returns after later tasks, Roger again praises his strength by saying that he has orc blood in him. (Chapters 540–543 and 548)

Appearance and personality

Roger has deep red skin and a calm but intimidating presence. Although middle-aged, he does not look his age; he is neither especially large nor heavily muscled, and he wears a long sword across his back. He is patient enough to explain tribal politics, financially pragmatic about mining, and openly approving of proven martial strength. (Chapters 541 and 548)
