Gulaj is a Goblin quest giver whose trade contacts with the Spectres make him an intelligence source during the investigation of Darkness Falls. (Chapters 724–751)

Biography

Demonic Invasions and the Final Championship

Gulaj sends Zhang Yang to investigate increased Spectre activity and uses his commercial contact with them to interpret the Command Orders Zhang Yang recovers. The resulting intelligence reveals refinery and processing sites connected to Darkness Falls, allowing Gulaj to direct attacks against the Spectres' Energy Crystal production. When Zhang Yang demands a harder assignment, Gulaj offers a hidden mission to recruit sufficiently powerful reinforcements. Zhang Yang returns with Merlinda, whose measured power shocks Gulaj and satisfies the requirement, earning a large Military Point reward and registering the Elven party as adventurer reinforcements rather than imperial troops. Appearance and personality

Gulaj is a Goblin and uses an oversized monocle to examine Merlinda; the corpus gives no other stable physical description. He is commercially connected, cautious about major threats, and responsive to bravado: Zhang Yang's demand for difficulty prompts him to reveal a hidden urgent mission. His fear at Merlinda's power coexists with satisfaction once she meets his operational need. (Chapters 726, 748, and 751)

Abilities and gameplay

Gulaj has no demonstrated combat skills. His functional abilities are intelligence and appraisal: he can decipher Spectre orders through his business familiarity, identify strategically important facilities, and use the monocle to assign Merlinda a “Chakra Level” above 10,000.
