Chateau Turk is an undead centaur prince whose shame over his wife and father's affair led him to destroy his own castle. After adventurers kill his enraged Spectre body, his lucid soul recruits them to take revenge on the two relatives he blames. (Chapters 148–154)

Biography

Lone Desert Smoke and Soaring Swords

Chateau first guards the castle as a hostile Spectre, demanding that the dead remain buried and using punishing reflection and area attacks until Zhang Yang's party kills him. A Level 1 ghost then emerges and explains that a Necromancer trapped his soul in a body of anger and vengeance. He admits that discovering Princess Annie Balrum with Kinglose Turk drove him to activate the castle's last-resort magic, killing the entire population rather than endure humiliation. Still consumed by revenge, he gives the party a spear holding part of his soul and asks them to kill both betrayers. The spear repeatedly summons his Shadow of Revenge against Annie; it holds her attention but cannot damage her and is destroyed each time, leaving the party to finish the fight without him. Appearance and personality

Chateau is a handsome, majestic centaur prince carrying a long spear, with hooves and a royal bearing that return when his lucid ghost appears. Betrayal turns that dignity into rage, shame, possessiveness, and indiscriminate vengeance: he destroys subjects alongside the guilty pair and continues hurling the same accusation as a summoned soul fragment. (Chapters 148–153)

Abilities and gameplay

His boss form has 880,000 HP. Reflect Sword appears about every thirty seconds, lasts roughly ten seconds, and returns three hundred percent of incoming attack damage, forcing all attackers to stop. Tornado Cleave deals 6,000 physical damage within a five-by-five area, while Earth Crash emits ground waves that knock back and stun for ten seconds. The interaction creates a narrow safe damage window between reflection and area attacks. (Chapter 148)

As Shadow of Revenge, Chateau becomes a Level 44 Elite Soul with 100,000 HP. The spear can resummon him after a thirty-minute cooldown, and his attacks maintain aggro on Annie despite dealing no damage. Allies cannot heal him, and Annie's later attacks destroy the summon too quickly for it to remain useful. (Chapters 149 and 152–153)

Relationships

  • Zhang Yang: Zhang Yang's party kills Chateau's boss form, accepts his revenge quest, and uses the soul-bearing spear against the royal pair. (Chapters 148–153)
