Soldamyr's Lamp

History

Soldamyr originally seals himself into the lamp in exchange for eternal life and emerges as the hidden boss of Kutan Desert. After Sungjin defeats his magical test, the restored lamp becomes the raid's Legendary summon reward, and rubbing it calls forth Soldamyr in a smaller familiar form. The magician subsequently fights, advises, and researches alongside Sungjin across the raids, including his work on the Ring of the Great Sage and Time Reversal. (Chapters 39–43, 47–48, 59–60, 114, and 118–120)

Abilities and properties

The lamp's Spiritual Link manifests Soldamyr for ten minutes, with the duration extendable through Sungjin's titles; defeat or expiry returns him to the lamp. It does not reduce him to a fixed spell effect. Soldamyr selects among multiple schools of magic, explains their limits, manages his own mana, and can withdraw when depleted, making the lamp a conduit for an expert magician whose judgment is central to its usefulness. (Chapters 42–43, 47, 59–60, 79, and 137–139)

Ownership and custody

Sungjin carries and activates the lamp, while Soldamyr acknowledges him as master after their contest and continues to speak, advise, study, and act as a person. At Ninety Nine Nights the genie can remain present through Spiritual Link, and Sungjin commonly asks for his expertise rather than treating him as inert equipment. Their custody arrangement therefore concerns the lamp itself; Soldamyr retains agency within the bond. (Chapters 42–44, 55, 79, 114, 118–120, and 137–139)
