Shadowrun Medallion

History

The summon anchor is awarded to Sungjin after the Draksis's Castle raid as a small round coin stamped with warhorses. Activating it manifests Shadowrun, Besgoro's spectral steed, who continues his existence after the hidden-boss battle and later resides in the stable at Ninety Nine Nights. (Chapters 53–54)

The object is later rendered as Shadowrun's medallion. Sungjin carries it in his Cube, calls Shadowrun for travel and battlefield support, and returns the manifested stallion through the link when a journey ends or his spectral body is destroyed. (Chapters 57, 92, 122–123, and 154)

Abilities and properties

Spiritual Link manifests Shadowrun for a ten-minute duration. The ghost stallion can run continuously without rest and ignores ordinary needs such as sleep, food, oxygen, and warmth, although the anchor's cooldown and the terrain can limit when the link is useful. (Chapters 53–54, 57, 91–92, and 122–123)

Ownership and custody

Sungjin holds the coin or medallion that enables the link, but the anchor is not the same identity as Shadowrun. The stallion responds to companions, understands remarks, expresses himself, and acts as a sentient participant; custody of the medallion therefore describes access to the summon connection, not ownership of a mindless object. (Chapters 53–54, 77, 91–92, 115, 122–123, 148, and 154)
