Ring of the Great Sage

History

Ariane the Dragon gives Sungjin the ring after their encounter in the Red Dragon's Lair, describing it as capable of altering his fate. Soldamyr studies it and advises Sungjin to build the mana needed to exploit its amplification. That preparation culminates in Sungjin casting Time Reversal, while visions through Ever Dream later reveal that Edward possessed a separate Ring of the Great Sage in the failed timeline. Abilities and properties

The ring permits the casting of all Blue Magic and its once-daily Empower Magic multiplies Magic Power fivefold for thirty seconds. The increase does not supply the corresponding mana, so high-class spells still require a large personal reserve or support such as Ariane's Mana Flow. With those resources it enables ninth-class Time Reversal, but mana spent and item cooldowns remain spent after the rewind, preventing repeated use as a cost-free loop. (Chapters 107, 119–120, 137–139, and 158)

Ownership and custody

Ariane freely entrusts the ring to Sungjin after testing him, and he refuses Archae'ard's later demand that he surrender it. The blue dragon ultimately recognizes Sungjin's determination and leaves the ring on his finger, regarding it as tied to his fate. Edward's counterpart is seen only within a reconstruction of the earlier timeline and does not displace Sungjin's present ring or establish shared custody. (Chapters 106–107, 156–160, and 167–168)
