Operator Cube

History

An Operator Cube first appears beside Sungjin at the beginning of the Greenskin Wildlands, after the introductory trial and Hunter's Hall briefing. It follows him through the raids as the physical interface for the system administered by the Operator. Each Hunter receives a corresponding cube, and later scenes show other Hunters consulting their own devices for status information, inventory access, and system announcements. (Chapters 1, 13, 61, and 167)

Abilities and properties

The cube stores and retrieves equipment, consumables, coins, and documents; displays item descriptions and personal statistics; conducts payments and trades; announces rewards and warnings; and mediates title changes or dimensional-transfer requests. It floats near its Hunter and carries the Operator's voice, but the corpus never establishes whether the cube itself thinks independently or merely provides an interface for her functions. (Chapters 1, 13, 43, 61, 116, and 141)

Ownership and custody

Sungjin's cube remains attached to his progress and normally responds to his requests. It can interact with merchant and crafting cubes during transactions, and the Hidden Merchant once prompts it to disclose Sungjin's balance without Sungjin asking, showing that its access is not entirely under its Hunter's control. Archae'ard later produces a smaller imitation, but that Plasmic Cube is a separate object rather than Sungjin's Operator Cube. (Chapters 43, 67, 116, and 160)
