Lathion

History

Sungjin finds Lathion as the hidden piece in the Frozen Palace raid. It first appears as the Legendary material Star of Winter, a luminous six-pointed star with a cryptic description about shining more brightly when alone, so he stores it for Kargos to identify and refine. (Chapters 123–124)

Kargos cuts the gem into the accessory Star of Solitude. Sungjin tests its defining effect in subsequent raids, deliberately entering alone to improve his personal reward while using his other tools to reconnect with allies when circumstances require intervention. (Chapters 137–149 and 172)

Abilities and properties

Reward for Training adds ten percent to the wielder's end-of-raid stat award. Solitary Training causes the next raid to begin without ordinary party members, creating a deliberate tradeoff between additional growth and the safety or convenience of group participation. The item's light becomes especially brilliant after it is properly cut. (Chapters 124, 137, 141, and 143)

Ownership and custody

Sungjin discovers the material and entrusts it to Kargos only for paid refinement, then retrieves the finished accessory. It remains in Sungjin's custody and is activated by him before selected raids; the temporary smithing transfer does not change ownership. (Chapters 124, 137, 139, 149, and 172)
