History

Kargos and his relatives forge Ios from the sky gem Elendil and present the finished Mythological accessory to Sungjin. Sungjin tests it before Watanabe Hiroaki's arrival, then checks the resulting vision against the encounter and later consults it again about the group's next dinner. (Chapters 174–177)

Abilities and properties

Its Starlight I ability can be invoked once per day to show events said to lie twenty-four hours ahead, while warning that will and action can change the future. In Sungjin's first use, the experienced vision lasts roughly three minutes while no observable present time passes, and its prediction of Hiroaki's greeting is subsequently fulfilled. The item offers a possible future rather than an immutable outcome. (Chapters 174–177)

Ownership and custody

The smiths create Ios for Sungjin, who retains and personally activates it. It is distinct from El'tarim, the future-related item associated with Edward in another timeline; the two names do not identify the same artifact. (Chapters 174–178)
