Franz's Greatsword

History

Franz first clearly displays a Highlander's two-handed sword during the Chimera raid, swinging the heavy blade rapidly and using it to sever the serpent head's tongue. He continues to appear with a greatsword or two-handed sword as one of Sungjin's chosen allies, but the corpus gives the weapon no inspection window, proper name, or confirmed item tier. (Chapters 82–85, 121–122, 124, 127, 129–130, 133, 137–138, 140, 148, and 179–180)

Abilities and properties

The weapon withstands Franz's fast rotational attacks and serves as a channel for his martial techniques, including Wind Slicer. It also conducts Electro from his gloves, allowing electricity to gather in the blade, but Electro belongs to Franz's other equipment rather than being a confirmed property of the sword; water and snow can dissipate the charge and even turn the current back on him. Ownership and custody

Franz is the recurring wielder of the large blade, and no transfer to another character is shown. Because the narration varies between “two-handed sword” and “greatsword” without identifying a unique item, this page groups Franz's observed weapons of that form and does not claim that every appearance is necessarily the same physical sword.
