Edward's Staff

History

Edward is seen with a staff in the failed-timeline battle revealed to Sungjin, and his present counterpart later arrives carrying a staff tipped with three bluish crystal spheres. He uses it through the alliance's battles and still holds it when the group prepares for its final operation against the chapter system. (Chapters 117, 151, 153, 167, and 170)

Abilities and properties

The staff acts as a focus when Edward casts: it burns silver-white during Fire Blast, and a wave from it accompanies Silent Zone. He can also use it as an improvised melee weapon, striking an opponent's leg and hand before bracing it across the opponent's neck. The corpus supplies no item inspection, name, tier, or independent enchantment, so Edward's broad spell repertoire cannot be assigned to the staff itself. (Chapters 151, 153, and 170)

Ownership and custody

Edward carries and operates the staff in both the reconstructed failed timeline and the present one, with no transfer to another wielder. Its ultimate disposition after the escape is not separately described, and the evidence does not prove that the staff seen in each timeline is the same physical artifact.
