Giovani

Giovani is the armored tank in the Count Dimitri raid party. The extraordinary offense of Sungjin and Mahadas gives him fewer chances to control the battlefield than his role normally requires, but he continues protecting the cursed Dominic, blocks attacks for the group, finds the route to the hidden merchant, and joins the optional battle against Besgoro. (Chapters 45–53)

Appearance

Giovani is a mustached Mexican man wearing heavy armor and carrying an axe and shield. He habitually twists his mustache to a point while speaking. After visiting the hidden merchant, he adds steel greaves designed for rocket-assisted leaps. (Chapters 45, 50–51)

Personality

Giovani is practical, questioning, and conscious of his responsibility as the tank. He complains when Sungjin appears not to take planning seriously and remains curious about unexplained hidden mechanics, but he follows directions once their value is demonstrated. He is reluctant to face an unnecessary hidden boss, then chooses to accompany the whole party rather than stay behind alone. (Chapters 45–53)

Biography

Count Dimitri's castle

Giovani accepts the front position in Dominic's formation, but Sungjin and Mahadas cut down most early enemies before a conventional tank can engage them. When Dominic's attempt to gain contribution ends in a vampire bite, Giovani helps protect him through the castle and raises his shield against Dimitri's attacks. He also searches the environment rather than only following combat, discovering the sewer entrance that leads the group toward the concealed merchant Ruff Han. (Chapters 45–50)

At Ruff Han's shop, Giovani chooses mobility greaves that can either escape an encirclement or rush toward an endangered ally. He initially questions the value of seeking another boss after the main clear, but joins the search and braces his shield against Besgoro's spectral cavalry. The raid rewards him with an inferior axe, while Peng receives a defensive emergency-healing belt; their closing argument is commercial rather than hostile, with Giovani trying to turn a teammate's unsuitable reward into useful tank equipment. • Dominic: Giovani begins as the tank in Dominic's formation and becomes one of his protectors after the Blood Curse weakens him. He remains concerned about the curse timer and fights beside Dominic after Mahadas removes it. (Chapters 45–53)

Skills and abilities

Shield tanking. Giovani uses heavy armor and a shield to hold the front, block groups, stop Wind Cutter blades, and cover endangered allies. His contribution is limited when stronger fighters kill enemies before they reach him, but his defense remains relevant against Dimitri and the spectral cavalry. (Chapters 45–53)
