Meikara

Meikara is a young blood mage who serves as a healer and medical examiner during Professor Jules's work around the Research Castle. She diagnoses wounds and disease, supports dangerous field operations, and repeatedly places patient care above rank or convenience. (Chapters 263–273, 291–318)

Biography

Survey work, field healing, and convalescent care

Meikara enters the investigation by examining bodies and distinguishing claw injuries, decomposition, disease, and herbal traces, helping the team turn remains into evidence. In the field she stays near the middle of the formation as its blood-magic healer, uses mana bolts when necessary, and spends most of her reserves repairing severe injuries. Her depleted mana becomes a practical constraint, but she continues asserting medical authority afterward: she treats hangovers with Cleanse Flesh, forces Jules to rest after an explosion, and later supervises Tyris's recovery with broth and a ban on alcohol. Appearance and personality

Meikara is described as a small young woman and wears a beak-like medical mask during investigative work. She is methodical around corpses, direct with patients, and willing to use humour or barter when the circumstances are less grave. Her firmness with Jules and Tyris shows that she treats medical judgment as a responsibility that outweighs a patient's authority or impatience. (Chapters 263–265, 300, 318, 432)

Magic, abilities, and skills

Meikara practices blood magic for healing, restoring wounded teammates at substantial mana cost. She can cast Cleanse Flesh, including to relieve hangovers, and fires mana bolts when the survey team is threatened. Her non-combat skills include forensic examination, wound analysis, recognition of disease and herbs, and recovery management. The chapters do not explain the internal mechanics of her blood magic or assign her a spell tier; repeated exhaustion shows that reserve depletion limits the amount of healing she can provide. Relationships

• Professor Jules: Meikara supports Jules's investigations and later insists that the professor rest after being injured. (Chapters 263–273, 317–318)
