Five Phase Beads

The Five Phase Beads are five differently attuned black beads mounted on a bracelet and refined by Southern Cloud King for a cultivator who masters five distinct void paths. They amplify the components of the Five Phases Sealing Technique and can imprison enemies sealed by it. (Chapters 1051–1064 and 1119–1126)

History

A treasure waiting for its wielder

Southern Cloud King refines the beads long before finding anyone capable of receiving them. The qualification is severe: a cultivator must learn five separate ninth-level techniques in five void Dao paths. Once Xue Ying masters the combined method, the king produces the bracelet, whose five beads emit different auras, and gives it freely rather than requiring contribution points. The gift is valued around twenty million cosmos crystals and is described as a Cosmos God top-graded secret treasure. (Chapters 1051–1065)

Sealing and imprisonment

With the beads, Xue Ying can elevate all five ninth-level components to tenth-level strength and fuse them into the Five Phases Sealing Technique. Captured opponents and sealed spaces can be drawn into the worlds inside the beads: Thunder King Mo Chao is held within one, and Devil Monarch Yan Fire is later trapped and killed after failing to break the sealed space. At large success, Xue Ying can display grand-perfection strength at roughly the level-two Cosmos God standard. (Chapters 1061–1071 and 1119–1126)

Surpassing dependence and losing custody

Xue Ying eventually fuses the five required branches strongly enough to execute the grand-perfection sealing technique without relying on the beads, making alterations easier. The treasure remains valuable for imprisonment and coordinated combat, but is no longer the sole source of the technique's completion. Chapter 1144 states that the Five Phase Beads are among the treasures lost after his death in that expedition; the brief provides no later recovery. (Chapters 1136 and 1144)

Abilities and properties

• Five-part amplification: Each bead corresponds to a different void-path technique, raising five ninth-level techniques to tenth-level strength simultaneously. (Chapters 1051, 1061, and 1062)
• Five Phases Sealed Space: Together, the beads let a qualified user fuse the five components into a powerful sealing domain capable of restraining peers and supporting extermination. (Chapters 1061, 1119, and 1126)
• Internal prison worlds: The sealed space and surviving targets can be stored inside a bead, where Xue Ying can send consciousness or an avatar and finish an incapacitated prisoner. (Chapters 1064, 1071, and 1120–1122)
• Wearable concealment: The bracelet can remain hidden inside Xue Ying's body when not in use and appears on his wrist during activation. (Chapters 1071 and 1122)
• Skill requirement: Ownership alone does not substitute for mastering the five component paths. Once Xue Ying's own comprehension reaches grand perfection, he can perform the core seal without the item. (Chapters 1051 and 1136)
