Xie Fan

Xie Fan is a powerful but distrusted Scarlet Cloud City cultivator who serves as Weather Leaf's chief lieutenant. A failed attempt to pressure Dong Bo Xue Ying in an auction develops into a revenge plot during a hunting expedition, then collapses when Xue Ying reveals apex combat strength. The late-story evidence is intact, and the titles Xie Fan and Devil God Xie Fan refer consistently to the same figure. (Chapters 1335–1352, 1369, and 1375–1381)

Biography

Scarlet Cloud City and Chaotic Origin

Xie Fan first tries to acquire Xue Ying's Flame-lineage corpse through a private exchange and demands control of the public auction when refused. Xue Ying excludes him, so Xie Fan joins the younger cultivator's next hunting team and plans to let Chaotic Origin lifeforms isolate and kill him. Daoist Hidden Horizon's protection and Xue Ying's temporary Half-Chaotic Origin body foil the scheme; after the party becomes trapped by a prisoner, Xie Fan abandons revenge, pays for reconciliation, and fights beside the group to survive. (Chapters 1335–1350)

He later participates in the formations against Sea of Abyss Master, but recognizes that Scarlet Cloud City's forces cannot kill the strengthened prisoner alone. During the final attack on the assembly grounds, a descending leg crushes Xie Fan into fragments before any breakthrough or escape is shown. (Chapters 1351–1352, 1369, 1375, and 1380–1381)

Appearance and personality

Xie Fan is a short, thin old man with drooping eyelids and faintly red-glowing eyes. His rare smile is described as insincere, matching a reputation for two-faced retaliation and backstabbing. He is also highly adaptive: once Xue Ying proves dangerous and becomes necessary for survival, Xie Fan immediately offers compensation and enthusiastic cooperation. Abilities and cultivation

Xie Fan is a Dao cultivator with a genuine Half-Chaotic Origin body, ranked among Scarlet Cloud City's top ten and first in bodily heaviness. That extreme mass creates a domain that slows poisonous spikes before they reach him, while his body resists coordinated Grand Perfection God Emperor attacks and regenerates faster than a weakened prisoner can injure it. This makes him Weather Leaf's preferred front-line defender. (Chapters 1335, 1338, 1341–1342, and 1349–1350)

His close-combat technique can kill a Late Stage God Emperor Ant Dragon with one punch by erasing its life despite leaving little visible bodily injury, and his claws can wound Sea of Abyss Master when amplified by a formation. He can kill only some Grand Perfection lifeforms one-on-one and cannot overcome the prisoner's recovery, establishing the ceiling below full Chaotic Origin power.
