Thunder King Mo Chao
Thunder King Mo Chao is one of the Sky Sword Sect's two great protectors, a famous tenth-level expert, and an honorary disciple of an ancestor in Myriad Realms Ancient Nation. His confidence collapses when Dong Bo Xue Ying captures him in a single sealing move.
Biography
Retaliation and capture
After Sky Sword Sect loses a Conferred King, the violet-robed Mo Chao presses two allies to act and help recover the sect's position. He is selective because of his pride: he is described as someone who either refuses a fight or enters expecting victory. Even after admitting he cannot defeat an opponent with excellent movement and survival, his broader reputation remains that of a formidable sect protector. (Chapters 1055 and 1062)
That reputation makes his defeat especially revealing. Xue Ying uses the Five Phases Sealing Technique to capture him alive in one move, takes his two secret treasures, and considers the prisoner chiefly as a source of ransom for Mirage and Illusory Realm resources. Sky Sword Sect pays 6.5 billion cosmos crystals for his life; Mo Chao regrets the sect's loss but privately celebrates survival. (Chapters 1063–1064 and 1067)
Appearance and personality
Mo Chao is a violet-robed man who often sits cross-legged, including inside the space where Xue Ying confines him. He is proud, arrogant, and reluctant to act without confidence in victory, but is not suicidal: after redemption, relief at living outweighs his embarrassment over the cost. Abilities and cultivation
As a tenth-level expert, Mo Chao has powerful survival capabilities and exceptional body-movement techniques. He has defeated Stone Jade Devil King, crossed Myriad Realms Ancient Nation's Ten Calamity Bridge, and received a major opportunity there. He also owns two formidable tenth-level-grade secret treasures, though the corpus does not preserve their names or mechanics. (Chapters 1062 and 1064)
His limit is demonstrated directly by the Five Phases Sealing Technique: Xue Ying subdues him before he can resist a single move. The loss becomes a benchmark frightening another expert who considers himself only comparable to Mo Chao. (Chapters 1064 and 1067)
