Paragon Huo Cheng

Paragon Huo Cheng is an ancient Paragon first found imprisoned in the Destruction Eden. After regaining freedom, his reputation and personal loyalty repeatedly support Dong Bo Xue Ying, while his own combat role culminates in the war against the Ancestor Mother Religion.

Biography

Freedom, alliance, and war

Xue Ying encounters Huo Cheng shackled in a dark cavern during the Destruction Legion trials. Huo Cheng remains cheerful enough to tease the younger cultivator, and the surviving text later shows him free, but the fragmentary sequence does not preserve the exact release mechanism. Once outside, his arrival is sufficient to suppress the confidence of two powerful opponents, and he contributes records of an ancient cavern dwelling to Primal Master and Bloodshed God Emperor. (Chapters 556–563; the supplied texts are fragmentary)

He develops a sworn-brother relationship with Xue Ying through warning, material help, and political backing. Huo Cheng cautions him about dangerous experts, explains the additional resources required to refine a Sun Star Nucleus Stone, and lends enough presence that hostile powers lower their demands without his needing to attack. During the later war he charges the traitorous Bamboo Mountain Prefecture Master as a stream of flame, but cannot simply overwhelm another Paragon. His final fragment shows an incarnation visiting Jing Qiu as Xue Ying's sworn brother and Qing Yao's teacher. (Chapters 591–627, 724–730, and 758)

Appearance and personality

Huo Cheng is a red-skinned, red-haired man. Even while imprisoned he grins and jokes, and after release he is generous, direct, and protective toward Xue Ying. His advice is practical rather than flattering: he praises real accomplishments, warns about treachery, and admits uncertainty when another powerful figure may be scheming. (Chapters 556, 591, 609, 730, and 758)

Abilities and cultivation

Huo Cheng is a veteran Paragon who opened his own Dao long before his first appearance and advanced far enough that two ordinary powerful existences together would be easily suppressed by him. His accumulated realm also lets him judge refining requirements and exert political deterrence. The source does not name his Dao's origin, stages, or noncombat mechanics. (Chapters 561, 609, and 627)

His clearest direct application turns his body into a stream of dazzling flames for a charge against Bamboo Mountain Prefecture Master. The opponent receives his attacks without alarm, establishing that the technique threatens ordinary experts but does not automatically defeat a peer Paragon. Huo Cheng can also send an incarnation to the lower world; the text does not state its combat fraction, range, maintenance cost, or whether his latest incarnation represents any cultivation advance. (Chapters 724 and 758)

Relationships

  • Dong Bo Xue Ying: Huo Cheng moves from an imprisoned senior acquaintance to Xue Ying's sworn brother, offering warnings, resources, reputation, and family support. (Chapters 556–627 and 758)
  • Dong Bo Qing Yao: Huo Cheng is her first named teacher, although the supplied fragments do not preserve their instruction sessions. (Chapter 758)
  • Primal Master: Huo Cheng's teacher and a recipient of the ancient-cavern records he brings after leaving Lake Heart Island. (Chapter 563)
