General Mo Gu

General Mo Gu was a Destruction Devil commander ordered to hide from Dong Bo Xue Ying. He dismissed that threat because his shadowless void-ification could conceal and evacuate his group, but a planted object let Xue Ying locate the lair and use an illusory realm against Mo Gu's weaker heart. Biography

The failed hiding place

Mo Gu and five subordinates concealed themselves in a remote primal-chaos land under strict orders from their kings. Confident that even Cosmos Gods would struggle to stop his void-ified escape, he resented hiding from a Primal Chaos cultivator. That arrogance made him claim an imperceptible object introduced into the group and store it as his own, giving Xue Ying the opening needed to descend a soul attack. Mo Gu collapsed unconscious while one of the two ninth-level guards who remained awake placed him in an Eden Treasure and tried to flee. The supplied Chapter 977 fragment ends during that escape attempt, so it does not preserve the immediate outcome. Later chapters explicitly say Xue Ying studied scaled armor left behind by Mo Gu and used it to derive cultivation insights, establishing defeat and loss of the armor but not a fully narrated death or custody sequence. Mo Gu's “shadowless” talent is an advanced form of void-ification.
