Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Ultraman joined Bard and Mad Lady in disrupting Port Santa, inciting student unrest in Torres, and later visiting ruined Cordu to confirm Muggle’s apparent death. For the second sea-prayer scheme, he used his Guiaro heritage and knowledge of the ritual to replace Simon, seize the temporary Governor of the Sea authority, and suppress Juan Oro while Mad Lady opened the submerged spaceship. A demigod’s Feast of Betrayal made the spaceship strip away Ultraman’s borrowed authority and pull him inside. Reduced to his two Sequence 5 power sets, he fought Lumian with sunlight, purification, gravity, navigation, and sea abilities, but Pride Armor, stolen Purification Halo, and the Symphony of Hatred overwhelmed him. Mortally wounded, he admitted visiting Cordu before dying; the spaceship then absorbed his flesh, sea boon, and Priest of Light characteristic. (Chapters 2013–2018)

Appearance and personality

Ultraman wore deliberately comical clothing at gatherings. As Lato he was analytical, proud of having studied what Port Santa’s inhabitants ignored, and contemptuous of tradition; under pressure he remained tactically inventive, yet his confidence in controlling the spaceship made him misread an Angel-level danger as opportunity. Pathways and abilities

Ultraman is a Sequence 5 Priest of Light of the Sun pathway and also holds a Sequence 5-equivalent Tidal Scholar boon. He uses Purification Halo, Sun Ray, holy-water creation, and other solar purification alongside gravity or flotation control, Weakening Ray, spatial navigation, fate perception, starlight scales, and tidal force; when temporarily Governor of the Sea, he could suppress other sea powers and command the surrounding waters at a much higher level. Relationships

  • Bard and Mad Lady: His principal April Fool’s collaborators; Bard planned the infiltration while Ultraman controlled the ritual and urged Mad Lady to open the passage. (Chapters 2005 and 2011–2013)
  • Juan Oro: Ultraman betrays his family and contests Juan’s Governor of the Sea authority, provoking Juan’s final self-sacrifice and curse. (Chapters 2011–2012)
  • Lumian Lee: Ultraman helped confirm Cordu’s destruction and is ultimately killed by Lumian inside the spaceship. (Chapters 2016–2018 and 2025)

Items

Ultraman carried no mystical items into his final duel because the operation’s equipment had been entrusted to Mad Lady. His temporary authority and most of his sea effects came from ritual status and boon rather than a personal artifact. (Chapter 2018)
