Periodic Table

Periodic Table is the handle of an Academy-group member of the Curly-Haired Baboons Research Society and a Moses Ascetic Order warlock. Her fear of the Hidden Sage initially makes freedom seem impossible, but she eventually joins the operation that destroys the Order's divine compulsion.

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

At Society gatherings, Periodic Table discusses the possibility of returning home and questions Muggle about whether such a return is truly possible. As a Moses Ascetic Order member subjected to the Hidden Sage's knowledge and pressure, she doubts that scattered transmigrators can unite or kill such an entity. Her resignation is not indifference: she continues attending, sharing information, and looking for a survivable answer with the Academy group. (Chapters 1810, 2187, 2246)

When the Hidden Blade plan offers a concrete strike against the Hidden Sage, Periodic Table deliberates and chooses to participate. She boards the Blue Avenger and enters the Fog Sea despite having no prior sea experience and suffering under the voyage's supernatural pressure. She survives the operation, and the Hidden Sage's fall frees her and the other warlocks from the forced transmission of knowledge. (Chapters 2495–2505)

After the Moses Ascetic Order's destruction, Periodic Table is offered a Sequence 5 Constellations Master characteristic. She initially says that freedom is reward enough, then accepts because advancement may be necessary for the future. The corpus does not show her consuming it, so her latest confirmed rank remains Sequence 6 rather than Sequence 5. (Chapter 2505)

Appearance and personality

Periodic Table is a woman who conceals her identity by painting the periodic table across her face with washable pigments. Her undisguised appearance and real name are unknown. She is thoughtful, anxious about impossible odds, community-minded, and ultimately willing to act once a credible plan exists. (Chapters 2187, 2246, 2495–2505)

Pathways and abilities

Periodic Table is a Sequence 6 Scrolls Professor of the Mystery Pryer pathway. She can study occult knowledge and prepare or use spell scrolls, while exposure to the Hidden Sage carries the pathway's characteristic danger of involuntary knowledge and corruption. Her personal combat repertoire is not detailed in the cited scenes. (Chapters 2246, 2505)

Relationships

Muggle is a fellow Society member whom Periodic Table presses for honest answers about return and resistance. The Academy group gives her a community outside the Moses Ascetic Order, while the Hidden Sage is both her pathway's source of knowledge and the coercive power she chooses to oppose.
