Mobet

Mobet Zoroast is a Solomon Empire viscount, a descendant of Pallez Zoroast, and one of the people preserved inside Groselle's Travels. His centuries in the book lead from boastful loneliness to a genuine partnership with the elf Siatas.

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Mobet enters Groselle's group as an ancient noble stranded in the book world. He talks readily about the Solomon Empire, the Zoroast family, and the marriages he repeatedly attempted inside the artificial world, initially presenting himself with aristocratic arrogance and comic self-importance. Over time he and Siatas form a sincere bond that replaces those failed attempts at domestic life. (Chapters 697–700)

When the group fights King of the North Ulyssan, Mobet follows the others despite being less suited to direct battle. He uses Dream Stealer powers to interfere with the dragon's intentions and remains beside Siatas; both die in the confrontation so that the survivors can win. Their original selves are dead even though copies remain within Groselle's Travels. Klein later buries them together near an elven ruin on Sonia Island, and Pallez accepts the resting place chosen for his descendant. (Chapters 700–703, 1064–1074, 1186)

Appearance and personality

Mobet is handsome, with flaxen-brown hair, deep brown eyes, a high nose, and thin lips. His asymmetrical black coat, mismatched buttons, pointed hat, and curled shoes reflect Solomon-era fashion. He appears arrogant but is actually talkative, humorous, affectionate, and painfully aware of the long isolation imposed by the book. (Chapters 697–700)

Pathways and abilities

Mobet is a Sequence 5 Dream Stealer of the Marauder pathway. He can steal dreams, thoughts, or intended actions, making an opponent forget what it was about to do. The ability is valuable for disruption, but his performance against Ulyssan also shows that it does not make him a durable frontline combatant. (Chapters 697–703)

Relationships

Siatas becomes Mobet's partner and the person whose safety matters most to him in the final battle. Pallez Zoroast is his ancestor, while Groselle and the other book residents become a surrogate family through centuries of shared travel. (Chapters 697–703, 1074, 1186)

Items

No named mystical item is established as Mobet's personal possession. His distinctive Solomon-era clothing marks his origin, while Groselle's Travels is the prison and world containing his copy rather than an item he owns. (Chapters 697–703)
