Life in Klein's Era
Eye of Wisdom hosts a concealed Backlund Beyonder gathering under the appearance of a shriveled elderly man. He organizes transactions, appraises goods, enforces the gathering's rules, and uses his authority to keep buyers and sellers from openly preying on one another. Klein Moretti first encounters him through this market, where Eye of Wisdom becomes a cautious but reliable intermediary rather than a patron who demands allegiance. (Chapter 240)
His true identity is Isengard Stanton, a respected detective and Sequence 7 Knowledge Keeper. The connection becomes clear during the hunt for the Serial Killer, when Isengard's reasoning and his use of Sealed Artifact 2-081 reproduce powers he has observed. He helps Klein and other investigators survive the Devil's threat while preserving the underground network that depends on his discretion. (Chapter 415)
Appearance and personality
At gatherings, Eye of Wisdom appears elderly and frail, with deeply cut cheek lines, shriveled skin, and an ancient voice. This is a disguise concealing Isengard's real appearance. He is analytical, cautious, fair-minded, and conscious of the responsibility created by hosting vulnerable Beyonders; his manner remains reserved, but he intervenes when rules or safety require it. Pathways and abilities
As a Sequence 7 Knowledge Keeper of the Reader pathway, Eye of Wisdom has enhanced learning, analysis, occult knowledge, and deductive ability. Through Sealed Artifact 2-081 he can recall and imitate Beyonder powers he has witnessed, though stronger abilities have a greater chance of failing. He uses this effect to reproduce a Devil's danger premonition. The corpus suggests his gathering disguise may also benefit from occult means, but does not firmly identify the method as an innate power. [Chapter 415]

Eye of Wisdom deals repeatedly with Klein as a gathering participant and later fellow investigator. The Apothecary and other attendees rely on his venue, arbitration, and anonymity.
