Crestet Cesimir — Lord of the Mysteries

Crestet Cesimir is one of the Nighthawks' nine high-ranking deacons, one of the Red Gloves' three principal leaders, and the Church figure known as the Sword of the Goddess. (Chapters 166–167 and 285)

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Cesimir traveled to Tingen to examine Klein Moretti's rapid digestion of the Seer potion. He subtly influenced Klein during the test, judged his mastery exceptional, administered an oath before the holy artifact, and stayed to protect and guide him through consuming the Clown potion. (Chapters 166–169)

In Backlund, Cesimir led the Red Gloves against a dangerous Devil, withheld the plan from emotionally compromised personnel, and continued organizing investigations and training. Although he held one of the Church's most powerful administrative positions, he traveled alone and used common transport rather than displaying his rank. (Chapters 285–289, 364, 402–408, and 950)

Cesimir remained Sequence 5 for years despite his office and only received the opportunity to become a demigod when war created the necessary opening, illustrating that institutional rank did not guarantee immediate advancement. (Chapter 1180)

Appearance and personality

Cesimir has golden-brown hair and blackish-green eyes, wears a black trench coat, and keeps a raised collar over his chin and lips. He is calm, understated, and perceptive, using subtle influence in examinations while preferring ordinary travel and practical command to ceremony. (Chapters 166–167, 289, 364, and 950)

Pathways and abilities

At his first appearance Cesimir is explicitly a Sequence 5 Beyonder able to influence Klein without detection and use tranquilizing song or spiritual effects. He later becomes a demigod during the war, but the corpus passages do not provide a full post-advancement power catalogue. (Chapters 166–169 and 1180)

Klein Moretti is the promising Nighthawk Cesimir examines and protects during advancement. Leonard Mitchell later serves under his Red Gloves command, while Daly Simone works within operations Cesimir helps arrange. (Chapters 166–169 and 402–408)
