Baron Syndras
Baron Syndras is a newly ennobled, powerful Backlund banker whose money makes him one of the Conservative Party's important financial supporters. (Chapters 739 and 975)
Biography
Life in Klein's Era
Syndras rewarded a successful surgeon and employed an established noble-house servant as his butler, reflecting both wealth and a desire to consolidate his new status. His social and business position later brought him into contact with Klein Moretti's Dwayne Dantès identity. (Chapters 739–741 and 855–858)
A conspiracy used Cuarón's death and misleading evidence to make Syndras appear responsible while also directing suspicion toward Dwayne. Syndras handled the immediate police pressure, and later investigation concluded that he was likely framed; the larger trap had targeted the Conservative Party's purse strings, but Dwayne's unexpected response prevented it from fully succeeding. (Chapters 855–875 and 975)
Appearance and personality
The corpus emphasizes Syndras's luxurious carriage, new title, and formidable financial position rather than a precise physical portrait. He behaves as an affluent, socially confident patron and responds actively when scandal threatens his standing. (Chapters 739–741 and 855–872)
Pathways and abilities
Syndras is not established as a Beyonder. His effective power comes from banking wealth, political financing, servants, legal standing, and access to Backlund's elite rather than supernatural abilities. (Chapters 739–741 and 975)
Relationships
Klein Moretti, as Dwayne Dantès, becomes entangled in the case designed around Syndras. Mary initially believes Syndras responsible for Cuarón's fate, while later evidence convinces Audrey Hall and the investigators that he was framed. (Chapters 855–875)
Items
Syndras uses conspicuously luxurious transport and the material resources of a banker, but no individually named mystical item is assigned to him. (Chapters 739 and 858)
