Life in Klein's Era

Aaron Ceres was a respected Backlund surgeon and a member of the Quelaag Club. A run of nightmares and improbable misfortune began after he treated the child Will Auceptin, leaving Aaron injured, frightened, and desperate for a rational explanation. He hired Sherlock Moriarty for protection and followed his advice to seek help from the Church, actions that reduced the immediate danger even though Aaron never understood the struggle between high-ranking beings of the Fate pathway behind it (Chapters 246, 325, 339, 370–422).

The same hidden conflict entered his family when his wife Wilma became pregnant with Will's reincarnation. Aaron experienced the pregnancy as an ordinary expectant father, while Klein recognized that the unborn child was the Snake of Mercury avoiding an enemy. Aaron protected and cared for the baby without learning the truth, unknowingly giving Will a secure human household. He remained alive through the war and was among the people Klein quietly visited before his final sleep (Chapters 739, 798, 817, 889, 978–980, 1087, 1388).

Appearance and personality

Aaron is a mature professional whose neat dress and practiced manner suit a successful surgeon. The corpus focuses more on the visible effects of his ordeal—fatigue, anxiety, a broken leg, and temporary use of a crutch—than on fixed facial details. He is skeptical but not foolish, worried for his family, willing to pay for competent help, and capable of acting on advice even when he does not understand its mystical basis (Chapters 246–422).

Pathways and abilities

Aaron is an ordinary human with no potion, Sequence, or supernatural ability. His medical training and surgical skill are substantial but mundane. The nightmares, bad luck, and prophetic coincidences around him originated from Will Auceptin and the surrounding Fate-pathway conflict, not from Aaron himself (Chapters 246–444).
