Soulless Metal Humanoid
A Soulless Metal Humanoid is a soul-oracle puppet: a specially refined body that can house and be driven by a soul. The name describes multiple bodies across the corpus, not a single immortal artifact with uninterrupted custody. This article therefore separates the auctioned humanoid, Qingtian Emperor's puppet, and later bodies forged by Zhang Xuan. (Chapters 447–474, 1,191–1,192, 1,655)
History
Tomb relic and auctioned body
Luo Zhu finds several metal humanoids in a soul-oracle tomb and removes one before being possessed by the tomb's resident oracle. That body reaches an auction, where Zhang Xuan investigates and acquires access to it as part of his search for soul-oracle knowledge. It provides an early physical example of the otherwise lost craft and leads the party back toward the tomb. (Chapters 447–474)
Qingtian's trap and Zhang Xuan's later craft
Qingtian Emperor later offers Zhang a Saint 4-dan humanoid as a vessel while secretly retaining creator-level power to seal or explode it. Zhang enters only to reverse the possession scheme, tears the body apart by expanding his soul, and escapes the trap. After gaining stronger soul cultivation and a corrected method, Zhang refines an Otherworldly Demon Ancient Sage corpse into another humanoid, then repeats the craft with suitable Azure corpses and uses pairs as disposable combat bodies. These later puppets share the technique but not the identity or custody of the auctioned body. (Chapters 1,191–1,192, 1,655, 1,901, 2,004, 2,068)
Abilities and properties
A humanoid preserves a soul and translates its control into the refined body's physical strength, but it lacks a living body's ordinary senses and is effectively a driven corpse. Compatibility is best when forged from a living being; corpses can work after Zhang's alterations but reduce precision. Control consumes enormous soul energy, and an original forger may embed fatal authority over the body. Higher-tier corpses also require proportionately stronger soul cultivation to refine. (Chapters 1,191–1,192, 1,655, 1,901, 2,004)
