Qingtian Emperor
Qingtian Emperor is an Otherworldly Demon emperor and soul oracle who serves Vicious in Qingyuan City. He creates a Soulless Metal Humanoid as a replacement body and tries to seize Zhang Xuan's soul and secrets through possession. (Chapters 1,191–1,194)
Biography
The soul-oracle emperor's defeat
Qingtian draws Zhang Xuan's soul into his hiding place and attempts to destroy or possess him, only to have Zhang Xuan enter and control the emperor's own body. Heaven's Path zhenqi destroys the soul remnant left in Zhang Xuan, but surviving aspects of Qingtian continue the struggle through the prepared bodies and soul-oracle methods. Zhang Xuan ultimately uses a coordinated deception with his clone and artifacts to destroy the physical vessels, overcomes the emperor despite a two-realm gap, and searches the remaining soul for information about Vicious. The memories have already been partly erased as a security measure. (Chapters 1,191–1,220)
The surviving soul becomes cultivation material for Zhang Xuan's clone, which later assimilates it and strengthens its own soul. Later references to Qingtian's painting or lineage concern objects and consequences left behind, not a return to life. (Chapters 1,269–1,270, 1,582, 1,673)
Appearance and personality
Qingtian's identity is complicated by soul possession and multiple prepared vessels rather than a single stable exterior. He is callous, secretive, and confident in the superiority of soul-oracle methods. Under defeat he becomes desperate and begs to escape, showing that his imperial pride does not survive the prospect of soul destruction. (Chapters 1,191–1,194)
Abilities and cultivation
Qingtian is a Saint 5-dan advanced-stage combatant and accomplished soul oracle. He can forge and control a Soulless Metal Humanoid, pull a soul across distance through a medium, attempt possession, preserve independent soul action after bodily damage, and force a weapon from his body with zhenqi. These methods remain vulnerable to Heaven's Path zhenqi, which corrodes his power, and to coordinated attacks that destroy the vessels supporting his soul. (Chapters 1,191–1,220)
