Great Codex of Spring and Autumn — Library of Heaven’s Path

The Great Codex of Spring and Autumn is Kong shi's legendary artifact of time and seasons. Despite its name and later location within the Library of Heaven's Path, it is neither the Library nor the Book of Heaven's Path; it is an independently created spacetime treasure that Luo Ruoxin later fuses into the Library. History

Kong shi's temporal weapon

Kong shi creates the Codex while trapped by an Otherworldly Demon emperor, using his comprehension of time to escape and devastate the enemy tribe. Later accounts exaggerate its seasonal phenomena but accurately preserve its connection to altered time. Kong shi leaves the artifact within the Temple of Confucius, where its expected emergence motivates rival factions to gather the Celestial Amulets and contest the temple. (Chapters 680, 1,668–1,669)

Temple recovery and fusion with the Library

Temple explorers initially mistake the Canvas of Four Seasons for the Codex because the painting contains a doubled flow of time. The true artifact is eventually obtained by Luo Ruoxin. Before leaving the Master Teacher Continent, she places it into Zhang Xuan's Library, upgrading the Library beyond its former Ancient Sage limit. The fused Codex provides a tenfold acceleration for Zhang's consciousness and remains available for cultivation in the Azure and Firmament. Luo's later explanation shows that she sought it partly as preparation for her conflict with Kong shi. (Chapters 1,732, 1,894–1,916, 2,068, 2,129, 2,216)

Abilities and properties

The Codex manipulates time rather than merely storing knowledge. Its internal flow can accelerate Zhang Xuan's consciousness roughly tenfold, letting him cultivate, deduce techniques, or process energy while less external time passes. Fusing it into the Library also raises the Library's effective tier and removes its inability to evaluate Ancient Sages. This enhancement does not make the Codex a golden page or give it the Book of Heaven's Path's gratitude-based sealing power. (Chapters 1,668, 1,906–1,916, 2,068, 2,129)
