The Evanescent Boots are the Guardian Artifact of the Evanescent Immortal Sect, forged by its founder from celestial meteorite. They are below Semi-Divinity rank by conventional tier, yet their specialized command of space gives them strategic value beyond many stronger weapons. (Chapters 2,059, 2,100)

History

Loaned away from the Evanescent Immortal Sect

Sect leader Gu Zhuiyun explains that Hall Master Kong requested the boots for one month in exchange for crucial information. The loan removes the sect's guardian treasure during the Six Sects crisis and supports Kong's wider effort to collect artifacts with singular spatial or soul functions. Kong uses the boots to cross vast distances and travel between the Hall of Gods and Ethereal Hall headquarters. (Chapters 2,059–2,089)

Kong shi's escape route removed

The boots let Kong shi move too quickly for ordinary Semi-Divinity opponents and, together with the Paragon Blackmirror, traverse spatial barriers that block normal passage. After Zhang Xuan defeats and immobilizes Kong, the boots and mirror are stripped from him, explicitly sealing off his escape route. The corpus does not identify whether Zhang returns the boots to the sect or retains them afterward. (Chapters 2,070–2,100)

Abilities and properties

When worn, the boots allow their user to tread through space and cover millions of li in a breath. Their spatial movement combines with the Paragon Blackmirror's soul-materialization ability to cross otherwise inaccessible barriers and outrun stronger pursuers. They are not themselves Semi-Divinity rank and do not increase every aspect of the wearer's combat power; their exceptional value lies in traversal and escape. (Chapters 2,059, 2,070, 2,087–2,100)
