Yu Cheng
Yu Cheng is a prominent candidate in Hongyuan Master Teacher Academy's entrance examination. His interference in Zhang Xuan's challenge leads to a public wager involving an Aerial Strike Amulet. (Chapter 721)
Biography
The entrance-examination wager
Yu Cheng insists that he can compensate Zhang with a high-tier spirit stone if he cannot provide the promised Aerial Strike Amulet. Although Yu technically earns the higher examination result, attention and credit keep shifting toward Zhang, leaving him furious and nearly unrecognizable after the trial's punishment. The wager nevertheless has a lasting consequence: the amulet passes to Zhang and later activates automatically to form a barrier when he is about to be struck. (Chapters 721–722, 885)
Appearance and personality
Yu Cheng is proud, competitive, and intensely concerned with receiving recognition for his result. He makes an explicit promise to honor his wager, but Zhang's accidental dominance of the event repeatedly pushes him from smug confidence into frustration. (Chapters 721–722)
Abilities and cultivation
Yu Cheng is regarded as one of the entrance examination's celebrated geniuses, but the cited passages do not establish a precise realm or named combat art. His demonstrated achievement is his examination performance and access to a valuable protective amulet. (Chapters 721–722)
