Liu Yan
Liu Yan is a veteran Conferred God King of the Sky of Blazing Sun. The similar name “Liu Yanzhi” in Chapter 1,959 refers to an Ascendant Cloud Sword Pavilion disciple, not to Liu Yan, and is not an earlier appearance of this character. (Chapters 1,959, 2,258)
Biography
The veteran alliance at the lotus
Liu Yan greets Ao Feng at the Flooding Sea's lotus leaf and proposes that veteran Conferred God Kings unite against the recently elevated younger generation. Resentful that Zheng Yang and his peers have taken resources and favor from established experts, he frames securing the lotus as necessary to preserve their standing before the God Monarchs. Liu Yan rushes for the leaf when the contest begins, then recoils when it is revealed as the Primordial Golden Lotus of the Nine Skies and trembles with the other veterans during the resulting upheaval.
