Zhou Xin
Zhou Xin is a leading Chosen of the Sublime Flow Sword Grotto. His clearest role is as one of the ascendant generation’s measuring sticks during the East Ascension Sun trial, where Meng Hao’s performance turns Zhou Xin’s shock into a deliberate commitment to reach true Immortality.
Biography
Arrival at the Fang Clan
Fang Xi first identifies Zhou Xin among the prominent young cultivators gathering on Planet East Victory. By the time Fang Wei displays the power of his Nirvana Fruit, Zhou Xin is seated with figures such as Fan Dong’er and is already treated as a representative of one of the Three Great Daoist Societies. Fang Wei’s palm strike shocks even this elite group, establishing the standard Zhou Xin expects the trial to demand. (Chapters 922 and 929)
East Ascension Sun
On the East Ascension Sun, Zhou Xin begins among the strongest climbers. He reaches thirty thousand meters alongside Fan Dong’er, then surrounds himself with sword light and surges beyond much of the field. That movement shows how his Sword Grotto cultivation functions in practice: he converts his cultivation base into a fast, sword-lit ascent rather than relying only on physical endurance. At greater heights, however, heat and pressure accumulate. A sun-resisting treasure lets him force his way to one hundred eighty thousand meters, but the effort leaves him vomiting blood and wreathed in flames. (Chapters 933–935)
Meng Hao then passes every established limit. Zhou Xin first experiences the result as defeat, then as pressure so intense that catching Meng Hao becomes his foremost goal. When the trial ends, he does not rationalize the gap or resent the victor. He announces that he will return to secluded meditation and will not emerge until he has attained true Immortality. His last supplied-text mention places him among the Sublime Flow Sword Grotto’s notable figures after the generation’s Immortal destinies begin to mature. (Chapters 936, 938–941 and 987)
Appearance and personality
The supplied text does not give Zhou Xin a sustained physical description. In action he is marked by the sword light surrounding his ascent and by a sharp, concentrated gaze. He is competitive without being shown as spiteful: Meng Hao’s superiority wounds his pride, but the wound becomes discipline. His public vow to enter seclusion also suggests that he measures status through achieved cultivation rather than empty reputation.
Abilities and cultivation
Sword Grotto cultivation
Zhou Xin is strong enough to stand near the front of a field containing Dao Children and clan Chosen. When he releases his cultivation base on the East Ascension Sun, sword light carries him rapidly upward. The text does not name the underlying sword art or show him using it in a duel, so its offensive mechanics remain unspecified; the confirmed effect is high-speed movement under crushing trial pressure.
Heat resistance and endurance
A sun-resisting treasure protects Zhou Xin long enough to climb far beyond the altitude ordinary participants can tolerate. It mitigates rather than nullifies the trial: at one hundred eighty thousand meters, repeated blood loss and the surrounding flames force him to stop. His achievement therefore combines equipment, cultivation, and exceptional endurance, while retaining a clearly demonstrated limit.
Dao heart
Zhou Xin’s most developed capability is psychological. He withstands the humiliation of being surpassed and converts it into a concrete cultivation objective. This does not grant immediate power, but it explains why he leaves the trial intent on true Immortality rather than abandoning the competition.
