Xiao Yihan
Xiao Yihan is the Five-Essences Dao Sovereign who leads the Seventh Mountain and Sea’s vanguard against the Meng Clan and fights Meng Hao during his Soul Lamp ignition.
Biography
Invasion of the Meng Clan
Xiao Yihan arrives looking like a young boy at the head of a Seventh Mountain force carried on black willow leaves. Seven Dao Realm experts accompany the army, but he is the strongest and issues the orders. The target is not casual: the invasion is intended to begin the war between the Seventh and Eighth Mountains and Seas by eliminating the strategically important Meng Clan. (Chapters 1271–1274)
He waits through Meng Hao’s unprecedented Ancient Tribulation, aware that even he might not survive such a trial. When the Soul Lamps begin to ignite, Xiao Yihan attacks the Meng bloodline and searches for the true body through a nascent sixth Essence that distinguishes truth from falsehood. His aim is to kill Meng Hao before the Allheaven Dao Immortal can stabilize his Ancient Realm power. (Chapters 1274–1277)
Battle of the five Essences
Xiao Yihan unfolds an Essence world combining vegetation, poisonous black rain, darkness, light, and Reality. Reality turns the other four from projections into a world that drains life, corrodes the soul, assimilates body and cultivation, and pierces like innumerable swords. The pressure forces more Soul Lamps out of Meng Hao instead of killing him. (Chapters 1277–1278)
When Meng Hao’s Battle Weapon shatters the boy-shaped exterior, Xiao Yihan emerges as a young man. He uses a white feather whose pressure concentrates the starry sky, then forms a black willow bow and fires arrows made from each Essence. Those attacks become the force Meng Hao needs to ignite his true azure Paragon Soul Lamp. Xiao Yihan recognizes the aura of the future Lord of the Mountain and Sea Realm and retreats immediately. He reports the vanguard’s defeat and later fights the Heavengod Society’s Chief Dharma Protector at the main front. The instant Meng Hao appears and commands Mountain and Sea power, Xiao Yihan abandons the field again. His last supplied-text scene shows him alive, terrified, and successfully outside the immediate battlefield. (Chapters 1282 and 1291–1292)
Appearance and personality
Xiao Yihan first appears as a boy; after the outer layer of that form is shattered, he resembles a young man of about twenty with similar features. He is cold, analytical, and ruthless about strategic threats. He does not mistake retreat for dishonor: once Meng Hao manifests power beyond his assumptions, Xiao Yihan flees promptly and later repeats that decision rather than risk death.
Abilities and cultivation
Five-Essences Dao Sovereign cultivation
Xiao Yihan is one of only two Five-Essences experts in the Seventh Mountain and Sea and one of no more than roughly fifteen in the entire Realm. His personal fifth Essence is genuine rather than borrowed, placing him far above an ordinary Four-Essences cultivator. He can contend with Meng Hao immediately after the latter enters the Ancient Realm.
Essence world of Reality
His first four Essences are vegetation, poisonous black rain, darkness, and light. Vegetation consumes life force to grow; black rain penetrates flesh and attacks the soul; darkness assimilates body and cultivation; light inflicts piercing destructive pain. The fifth Essence, Reality, makes the combined world materially real instead of merely illusory, allowing all four effects to operate together.
Truth-and-falsehood insight
Xiao Yihan is studying a sixth Essence capable of distinguishing truth from falsehood within a person. He uses it to assess targets among the Meng bloodline and avoid being misled by substitutions. The art is incomplete; if perfected, it would raise him to the Six-Essences level.
Feather, willow bow, and Essence arrows
His white feather concentrates crushing starry-sky pressure on a target. He can also condense black willow leaves into a bow and draw energy into arrows aligned with his Essences. These arrows carry the same vegetation, rain, darkness, and light properties as his Essence world, but Meng Hao deliberately absorbs their force to awaken the final Soul Lamp.
