Sixth Paragon
The Sixth Paragon is a Nine-Essences lord whose repeated provocations of Meng Hao end in sealing, total consumption, and permanent death.
Biography
Provocation before the necropolis
Old Sixth punishes Meng Hao's delayed subordinates and then challenges the newly installed Ninth Paragon. Meng Hao answers with direct punches that make the elder cough blood, breaks through his Essence manifestations, and continues the humiliation even when the Sect Leader separates them. Instead of accepting the warning, Sixth Paragon carries the resentment into the necropolis expedition. (Chapters 1421–1423)
Hostility among the ghosts
When Meng Hao risks the route to save subordinates, Sixth Paragon calls the decision foolish and accuses him of consuming the previous Ninth Paragon. The necropolis ghosts unexpectedly acknowledge Meng Hao, and their hostility forces Old Sixth to retreat and fall silent. His sudden restraint reveals that another powerful backer is encouraging the provocations, not that the grievance has ended. (Chapters 1424–1426)
Defeat, sealing, and consumption
Meng Hao later hunts him through the ruins. Sixth Paragon uses beast banners, shadow copies, a blood shield, darkness, and a detonated Essence, but cannot regain the initiative. Meng Hao reverses his movement through time, draws a box around him, and seals his entire being into a painting. During the fight with Jin Yunshan, Meng Hao tears that painting apart and converts Old Sixth's life force, cultivation, nine Essences, and soul into attack power. Nothing remains to return. Appearance and personality
The source presents an old, proud Paragon whose aggression masks increasing fear. He is quick to punish subordinates and insult Meng Hao, refuses correction from peers, and continues plotting after public defeat. During the final chase he prioritizes escape, showing that pride does not prevent him from recognizing mortal danger. (Chapters 1421–1431)
Abilities and cultivation
Nine-Essences foundation
Old Sixth commands nine Essences and stands among the Vast Expanse School's supreme Paragons. He manifests an amorphous blade, a pitch-black Essence head, and finally the darkness of night. These techniques can terrify Eight-Essences experts, but Meng Hao's initiative and stronger sealing path prevent him from deploying their full potential. (Chapters 1422 and 1430–1431)
Beast banner and shadow escape
His long banner contains images of countless beasts, including dragons, and releases their power defensively. After it is shredded, he creates tens of thousands of shadow copies that flee separately. Meng Hao's third eye identifies the true body, establishing that duplication hides location but does not create equally real selves. (Chapter 1430)
Blood shield and detonated Essence
A blood-colored shield absorbs multiple punches before shattering. In desperation he detonates one Essence to destroy most of Meng Hao's descending sealing hand and uses the shockwave to flee. The sacrifice ages and weakens him as though all nine Essences were damaged, making it an escape cost rather than renewable offense. (Chapters 1430–1431)
Darkness of night
His ninth Essence removes surrounding light and embodies the darkness of night. Meng Hao later studies the principle while developing the Devil-Butchering Fist, but the Sixth Paragon's own use cannot reverse the battle once his movement and timing are sealed. (Chapters 1430–1436)
