Ninth Bloodline Patriarch
Ninth Bloodline Patriarch is the unnamed old Dao Realm leader of the Meng Clan's ninth bloodline, identified by his earlier face-to-face meeting with Meng Hao and his Mirror Massacre magic.
Biography
Watching the tenth bloodline return
The ninth patriarch is awake inside the Meng ancestral statue when the eighth-bloodline patriarch attacks Meng Hao. He recognizes the newcomer from a prior encounter and is shocked when Meng Hao repels a Dao Realm attack with a single step. Unlike Old Eighth, he does not immediately emerge, choosing to assess the threat from the ninth chamber. (Chapter 1262)
When the first-bloodline patriarch later demands support, the old man joins the five-patriarch challenge. His position is complicated by members of his own bloodline, including Meng De, watching the confrontation and by his knowledge that Meng Hao is far stronger than before. He nevertheless chooses collective factional resistance. (Chapter 1267)
Mirror Massacre and concession
The ninth patriarch turns the starry sky beneath Meng Hao into an enormous mirror. The reflection exerts possession-like force, while additional mirrors redirect movement and multiply the blood-sea and lightning attacks of his allies. Creating the second through fourth mirrors requires his own blood; at four, he bleeds from every facial opening and reaches his limit. (Chapters 1267–1268)
Meng Hao shatters the mirrors one by one, and each destruction inflicts backlash that withers the patriarch. He concedes moments before Meng Hao's gaze collapses the space around him. The decision saves his life. He remains among the five Meng Dao experts who turn to defend the clan during the foreign invasion, where an enemy probing for Meng Hao strikes him aside. Appearance and personality
He is an old man whose arrogance from an earlier meeting has been tempered by seeing Meng Hao's growth. He is cautious enough to observe before joining and pragmatic enough to surrender at the precise moment defeat becomes fatal.
Abilities and cultivation
Mirror Massacre
His Essence magic changes a region of the starry sky into a reflective plane. A target's reflection transmits possession-like pressure, interfering from within rather than merely striking the body. Further mirrors can relocate someone entering one surface and can reproduce allied attacks, greatly increasing a coordinated formation's volume and angles.
Blood cost and four-mirror limit
The first mirror is his standard manifestation. Additional mirrors require blood expenditure, and four is his demonstrated maximum; reaching it causes bleeding from eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Destruction of each mirror feeds backlash directly into his body, making the technique powerful but risky against someone able to break the surfaces.
Dao Realm resilience
He survives the collapse of all four mirrors and later returns to battle for the clan. He is still vulnerable to stronger Dao experts and is knocked back during the invasion.
