Mo Fang
Mo Fang is a rank 5 Crow Scout Dragoneer whose challenge to Meng Hao ends in humiliation and whose father later sacrifices him to create an eight-headed Flood Dragon.
Biography
Reputation and challenge
Mo Fang is first known through the neo-demons he has raised, including a mutated venomous Greenwood Bat. His rank and family legacy carry great weight: tribe members revere him, while his father Mo Zi is the Crow Scout Tribe’s foremost vassal and a rank 7 Dragoneer. Mo Fang descends in a black robe after Meng Hao’s Greenwood Wolves overturn local expectations and declares that the wolves should be given to him. (Chapters 401–403)
He initially speaks past Meng Hao, assuming the tribe leadership will transfer the beasts. Once challenged under Dragoneer rules, he demonstrates a sequence of control methods: refined green incense lit with secret kindling, specially prepared meat, liquids, bands of controlling light, and an ancestral Demon Nurturing Pill. Each method targets a known appetite or instinct of Greenwood Wolves, and each fails because Meng Hao’s mutations and bonds have removed or surpassed those weaknesses. (Chapters 403–404)
The failure becomes a complete reversal when Meng Hao uses Demonic Qi to call away Mo Fang’s own neo-demon horde. Mo Fang’s authority over beasts collapses publicly, including his control of the Giant Ape and the mutated bat associated with his reputation. He retains rank and family protection, but his humiliation hardens into personal hatred. (Chapters 404–406 and 411–415)
Sacrifice in the Dragoneer Duel
Mo Fang accompanies Mo Zi into the Ancestor Rite Competition, rides his father’s two-headed Flood Dragon, and glares at Meng Hao with the desire to kill. During the duel, however, it is Mo Zi who commands the great Flood Dragon horde; those feats should not be attributed to the son. (Chapters 418 and 420)
When Meng Hao’s Flying Rain-Dragon overwhelms the horde, Mo Zi grabs Mo Fang and pushes a hand onto his head. Mo Fang’s expression shows disbelief and confusion before his head explodes. Mo Zi uses his son’s soul, flesh, and blood as the medium for a family legacy, producing an eight-headed Mo Flood Dragon. The creature is destroyed by the Flying Rain-Dragon in the next chapter. (Chapters 420–421)
Appearance and personality
Mo Fang is a handsome middle-aged man with grim features and a black robe. He is proud, entitled, and accustomed to deference produced by both rank and parentage. He also possesses real technical knowledge of neo-demons, explaining species traits and matching control methods to them. His inability to accept Meng Hao’s superiority turns professional defeat into lasting fury.
Abilities and cultivation
Rank 5 Dragoneering
Mo Fang is an established rank 5 Dragoneer capable of raising mutated beasts and maintaining a sizable horde. His Greenwood Bat can display pressure above its nominal level, and the tribe treats his work as a mark of quality. Rank does not grant absolute domination: a stronger bond and superior Demonic Qi can override his carefully cultivated control.
Beast-luring methods
His toolkit includes thrice-refined Green Incense, secret Dragoneer kindling, Searchtree Deer meat refined for months, green liquid, and bands of magical light. These methods exploit ordinary Greenwood Wolf responses—scent, appetite, and imposed command. Their detailed deployment demonstrates expertise even though Meng Hao’s wolves ignore every one.
Demon Nurturing Pill
Mo Fang’s blood-colored pill is an inherited imitation of the legendary Demon Nurturing Pill. It can drive nearby neo-demons into agitation across roughly three hundred meters, making it his strongest control lure. It is not equal to a true pill, and it still cannot sever the mutated wolves’ allegiance to Meng Hao.
Sacrificial legacy medium
Mo Fang does not voluntarily activate the eight-headed Flood Dragon technique. Mo Zi kills him and uses his soul and body as sacrificial material. The resulting creature belongs to the Mo Clan’s Dragoneer legacy, but the agency and incantation are the father’s; Mo Fang’s role is victim and medium, not practitioner.
