Biography

Creation from flesh, soul, and Time

Meng Hao creates the second true self through the Self Character Incantation, using flesh and blood permanently separated from his own body rather than a temporary magical projection. He places the True Immortal soul obtained in the Ancient Demon Immortal Sect into that vessel and adds sixty thousand years of accumulated Time force. The result awakens at peak Dao Seeking: a clone linked to Meng Hao and obedient to his will, but capable of acting at a distance with its own body, soul, and cultivation. Because its components are real, damage to it represents an actual loss rather than an illusion that can be dismissed without cost. (Chapters 733–734)

Independent enforcer

Meng Hao uses the true self wherever simultaneous threats make one body insufficient. It scouts the Blessed Land door before he enters and later suppresses dangerous enemies during the Southern Domain war, including cultivators attempting self-detonation. Its peak Dao Seeking power lets it seal opponents, intercept attacks and curse-bearers, and reinforce battles without requiring Meng Hao to abandon his own objective. This division of labor is its central strategic value: it converts one cultivator's preparation into two physically present high-level combatants. (Chapters 751–793)

After the Dawn Immortal conflict, the clone receives the severed Devil Construct associated with a prospective Devil body. The transfer points toward a future transformation distinct from its True Immortal-soul origin, but that possibility is not completed before its destruction. It remains best understood as a prepared vessel whose composition Meng Hao can develop, not a fully realized independent Devil cultivator. (Chapter 793)

The Wider Ninth Mountain and Sea

At the reopened Immortal Ancient Daoist Rite Temple, the second true self fights beside Meng Hao through restrictions, projections, rival Chosen, and the struggle over inheritance. It can pressure one group while Meng Hao engages another and helps him survive coordinated attacks designed around the assumption that his attention can be overwhelmed. The clone remains active afterward, including during the events surrounding Pill Demon's Immortal tribulation. These deployments show that it follows complex objectives and battlefield priorities, although the source does not give it a personality separate from Meng Hao's purpose. (Chapters 802–839)

Its final mission occurs between South Heaven and Planet East Victory. Two Fang Clan assassins move against Meng Hao while he is attempting to ignite the Divine Flame, a process that leaves no room to divert his full attention. The second true self intercepts them and prevents their escape. When ordinary restraint is insufficient, it self-detonates, consuming both the True Immortal soul and the permanent Meng Hao-derived body in the blast. The sacrifice succeeds tactically, but it also proves the technique's hardest limit: an independently real clone can die permanently, and rebuilding the same combination would require equally irreplaceable materials. Appearance and personality

The second true self is formed from Meng Hao's own flesh and blood and therefore resembles him rather than possessing an unrelated natural body. Its defining visual qualities are its stillness, peak Dao Seeking pressure, and the ancient force of Time incorporated during creation. The True Immortal soul inside supplies cultivation but does not cause the clone to adopt the former soul's identity. (Chapters 733–734)

It displays discipline, obedience, and complete indifference to self-preservation when Meng Hao's survival is at stake. Those traits should not be overstated as a separate temperament: the clone acts as Meng Hao's true self and carries out his priorities, with no sustained private ambitions or relationships of its own. Its last self-detonation is therefore both an act by the clone and an externalized form of Meng Hao's willingness to sacrifice part of himself. (Chapters 802–839 and 890–891)

Abilities and cultivation

Self Character Incantation body

The technique creates a genuine second self from permanent flesh and blood. Unlike an image or short-lived projection, it can travel, scout, fight, seal targets, and be destroyed independently. Its reality is also its cost: the material removed from Meng Hao and losses suffered by the clone are not automatically restored. (Chapters 733–734)

True Immortal soul vessel

A captured True Immortal soul powers the body, allowing the newly awakened clone to reach peak Dao Seeking strength. The soul is sealed and subordinated rather than allowed to possess Meng Hao, and it is ultimately expended when the clone self-detonates. (Chapters 733–734 and 890–891)

Sixty thousand years of Time force

Meng Hao incorporates accumulated Time power during formation. This gives the clone an ancient temporal reserve and contributes to its exceptional starting strength; the corpus does not show that it can freely reverse time or ignore all temporal effects. (Chapter 734)

Parallel deployment

The second true self can scout and fight while Meng Hao performs another action, effectively multiplying his presence. It is especially useful for stopping self-detonations, maintaining seals, and delaying high-level enemies, but it still has finite strength and can be forced into a terminal sacrifice. Self-detonation

By destroying its real body and sealed soul, the clone releases enough force to prevent two Fang Clan assassins from escaping. This is a final technique, not a repeatable attack: success eliminates the clone and all resources invested in it. (Chapters 890–891)
