Imperial Bloodline Stone Monkey
Imperial Bloodline Stone Monkey is an awakened ancestral construct used by the Imperial Bloodline Clan to imprison Meng Hao during the Northern invasion.
Biography
The square cage
The clan chief awakens the Stone Monkey when ordinary forces cannot contain Meng Hao. Its palm or manifested domain encloses him in a square world bounded by four pillars, with the enormous monkey at the center. No matter how far Meng Hao flies, he remains inside the same geometry. Chanted suppression then shrinks the world around him, turning distance itself into pressure. (Chapter 789)
The construct repeatedly declares Immortals the root of evil and speaks of a prophecy involving the Blue Lotus, the gap between Immortal and Devil, and a vortex in the sky. Those statements suggest that its programming or retained will predates the immediate clan war. When Meng Hao tries to break the seal, the monkey opens its eyes and its gaze freezes or negates the attempt. (Chapters 790–791)
Broken by a breakthrough
Unable to escape through speed or ordinary force, Meng Hao uses the cage as pressure for his Third Severing and Dao Seeking breakthrough. The resulting transformation exceeds the level the ancestral suppression was built to contain. The square world, pillars, and monkey's control collapse as he tears free. The construct's final role is therefore paradoxical: intended to suppress him, it provides the crisis that helps him advance. (Chapters 793–794)
Appearance and personality
It is a gigantic monkey carved from stone, positioned at the center of its sealing world. Its speech is archaic, repetitive, and prophetic rather than conversational. The text does not establish an ordinary personality separate from its ancient directive.
Abilities and cultivation
Immortal-suppressing cage
The construct creates a self-contained square world whose boundaries cannot be outrun. Four pillars define the prison while the world contracts, converting spatial confinement into crushing force. Even Meng Hao's powerful body is strained by the pressure.
Negating gaze
When the monkey opens its eyes, strange light spreads across the cage and freezes Meng Hao's attempt to rupture it. The gaze responds to resistance, but its control is limited to the construct's domain and can be exceeded by a sufficiently large breakthrough.
Prophetic memory
Its Blue Lotus declarations preserve information about ancient conflict and the Immortal–Devil divide. The text does not show it freely predicting unrelated events, so this is treated as stored prophecy rather than universal foresight.
Relationships
- Meng Hao: Prisoner whose breakthrough destroys the construct's suppression.
- Imperial Bloodline Clan chief: Activates the ancestral defense in desperation.
- Blue Lotus: Subject of the ancient prophecy the monkey repeats.
Items
No portable item is assigned to the construct. The four pillars and square world are components of its manifested sealing system.
