Imperial Bloodline High Priest
Imperial Bloodline High Priest is the animal-hide-clad leader who protects the Northern curse-bearer and later pursues Meng Hao across the battlefield.
Biography
Vanguard and pursuit
The High Priest leads a Northern Reaches vanguard into the Southern Domain and guards the cultivator maintaining a major curse. His office gives him command authority and places him among the invasion's peak experts. When the curse-bearer dies, he turns the loss into a personal pursuit of Meng Hao rather than withdrawing with the damaged formation. (Chapters 767 and 774)
Transformation battle
He forces his skin blue to increase speed and closes on Meng Hao with overwhelming physical attacks. As the battle develops he transforms into a roc-like bird for speed and rending talons, a gigantic black python for swallowing force, and a white tiger for direct combat. Golden birds can also fly from his pupils as independent attacks. (Chapters 775–776)
Meng Hao avoids being pinned down while the Blood Demon Grand Magic feeds on the Northern army. When he finally turns the vortex directly on the High Priest, one tiger foreleg withers and roughly forty percent of the man's cultivation is drained. The High Priest calls for rescue, but Meng Hao seals his movement with the Eighth Demon Sealing Hex and drives a hand into his chest. The vortex consumes soul and cultivation completely, preventing another transformation or escape. (Chapters 776–777)
Appearance and personality
He is an old man clothed in animal hide, visually matching the bestial tradition of his clan. He is aggressive, proud of his office, and persistent enough to continue after multiple transformations fail. Fear appears only when the drain becomes irreversible.
Abilities and cultivation
Peak Dao Seeking cultivation
His base cultivation lets him battle at the top of the invasion and invoke natural law strongly enough to shatter Meng Hao's projected Ninth Mountain. Such techniques demand substantial effort and do not prevent cumulative draining.
Bestial transformations
The roc form maximizes aerial speed and talon attacks; the python form converts his body into a swallowing strike; and the tiger form emphasizes physical power. He can also enlarge a hand and sprout bone spikes. These are alternate applications of one transformation tradition, not separate summoned beasts.
Golden-eye birds
Two golden birds emerge from his pupils to attack alongside his spinning kick, forcing an opponent to address multiple angles. They are a tactical supplement, not demonstrated independent companions.
Limits
Transformation changes shape and combat emphasis but does not restore lost qi, blood, or cultivation. Demon Sealing can freeze him, and the Blood Demon Grand Magic can consume the shared foundation beneath every form.
