Imperial Bloodline Clan Chief

The Imperial Bloodline Clan Chief is the strongest cultivator in the Northern Reaches invasion. His lightning bloodline, transposition cauldron, and Primordial Lightning Dragon transformation make him a false-Immortal-level threat until Meng Hao completes Dao Seeking.

Biography

Arrival of the final Northern wave

The Northern Reaches place their hope in a third invasion wave led by four supreme patriarchs. Foremost among them is the Imperial Bloodline Clan Chief, whose peak Dao Seeking cultivation can contend with false Immortals. Patriarch Song's Arcane Scrying Eye detects the approaching lightning-wreathed old man, but the Clan Chief senses that he is being observed and reveals the scrying. (Chapters 778 and 784)

When the final army arrives, the chief takes command of the battle against Meng Hao. His Primordial Lightning Dragon collides directly with the Blood Demon head, splitting both manifestations and leaving both combatants injured. He uses a Lightning Cauldron to exchange positions on the battlefield, follows Meng Hao through mass combat, and enlarges into a thirty-meter giant whose roar bends local natural law so that others slow while he accelerates. Meng Hao reaches the sixth level of the Blood Demon Grand Magic by draining Northern cultivators and withers roughly one fifth of the Clan Chief's power in a brief clash. The chief responds by combining the Lightning Dragon with roc, python, and white-tiger images, while the other Northern patriarchs resort to similarly pyrrhic abilities. The struggle remains dangerous enough that the Southern forces require their Sentinels and Meng Hao's breakthrough to reverse it. (Chapters 787–794)

Defeat and sealing

After Meng Hao completes Dao Seeking, the Clan Chief throws himself into one final attack as a Lightning Dragon surrounded by a lake of heavenly lightning. A single finger from Meng Hao's new Dharma Idol shatters the dragon and leaves the chief gravely wounded. Meng Hao then takes the Lightning Cauldron, describing their connection as destiny. Meng Hao does not kill the five surviving Northern leaders. He suppresses them beneath the Ninth Mountain, renames it the Sin of the North, and orders their Nascent Divinities to replenish the Southern Domain's depleted spiritual energy. The sealing converts the defeated invaders into a long-term foundation for the land they devastated. (Chapters 795–796)

Appearance and personality

The Clan Chief is an old man surrounded by lightning, with long hair that whips around when he expands into giant form. His transformations replace ordinary human features with dragon scales and elemental radiance.

He is authoritative, tactically alert, and utterly committed to the invasion. Once defeat becomes unavoidable, despair turns into a desire for mutual death rather than surrender. His condemnation of Meng Hao's draining magic also shows a moral certainty that does not extend to his own army's devastation of the Southern Domain.

Abilities and cultivation

False-Immortal-level Dao Seeking

At peak Dao Seeking, the Clan Chief can fight false Immortals and pressure Meng Hao before the latter's breakthrough. This is still not true Immortality. Once Meng Hao completes his own Dao and manifests its Dharma Idol, the difference becomes overwhelming.

Primordial Lightning Dragon

The chief transforms fully into an ancient lightning dragon, gaining immense speed, durability, and elemental force. The form can destroy Meng Hao's Blood Demon head while being bisected in return, then reform for later attacks. It is not invulnerable: stronger Dao power shatters it completely.

Lightning Cauldron transposition

His small cauldron permits rapid positional exchange or displacement amid battle, supporting pursuit and evasion. Meng Hao possesses a related cauldron and understands the method well enough to use it tactically against him. The artifact can be forcibly taken once the chief's cultivation is suppressed.

Natural-law roar

In giant form, his roar imposes a local timing distortion: surrounding motion appears to slow while he moves faster. This creates an opening for a direct punch. The effect is not absolute time control and does not prevent Meng Hao from escaping through cauldron transposition.

Composite beast strike

He combines images of the Lightning Dragon, roc, python, and white tigers into a single punch. The art concentrates multiple bloodline or beast powers for a decisive blow, but its strongest shown use still fails to stop Meng Hao's sixth-level Blood Demon counterattack.
