Frigid Snow Clan Fourth Elder

Frigid Snow Clan Fourth Elder is the most openly hostile of Holy Snow City’s four Grand Elders when Meng Hao first requests a Frigid Snow Larva. After witnessing his alchemy and aid, the same uncompromising temperament makes Fourth Elder the strongest advocate for rewarding him.

Biography

Suspicion of an outsider

With Holy Snow City under siege and only two larvae nearing maturity, Fourth Elder treats Meng Hao’s demand as extortion. He argues that an unknown Core Formation cultivator has arrived to exploit a collapsing city and proposes killing him as a warning. When Zhou Dekun claims he can reproduce Meng Hao’s poison, Fourth Elder readily supports the established alchemist, preferring a reassuring reputation over an unverified outsider. (Chapters 357–360)

The alchemy contests dismantle that judgment. Meng Hao’s work invokes Pill Tribulation and exposes a level of mastery the elders had failed to recognize. When Meng Hao prepares to leave after Zhou Dekun’s abduction, Fourth Elder changes position without minimizing the earlier mistake. He bows and argues that one larva is insufficient: both maturing larvae should be given to Meng Hao because the clan can raise more if it survives. His initial severity has not disappeared; it has been redirected toward repaying proven value fully. (Chapters 363–366)

Defense and evacuation

Fourth Elder commands one sector when four opposing Nascent Soul cultivators lead the full assault. He fights in the air while Meng Hao’s Lightning Sea Pills and the city formations destroy the lesser forces below. The uncontrolled Thorn Rampart eventually forces defenders and attackers alike to stop exchanging techniques, and Fourth Elder emerges injured. During the following month he joins the elders’ effort to finish the promised larva. (Chapters 367–370)

When a Spirit Severing snort devastates Holy Snow City, all four elders immediately shield their clan members at the price of coughing blood; Fourth Elder is still injured when he later bows to thank Meng Hao. He helps prepare the long-range teleportation spell and remains until the final assault. After Meng Hao’s reinforcements secure the activation, Fourth Elder bows once more and evacuates with the survivors. (Chapters 374, 379 and 381–382)

Appearance and personality

Fourth Elder is a middle-aged man with a grim expression. He is suspicious, severe, and initially willing to use lethal force to protect scarce clan resources. Yet he is also capable of a complete evidence-based reversal. Once Meng Hao proves his skill and loyalty, Fourth Elder advocates the most generous repayment and personally accepts injury in the defense Meng Hao helped sustain.

Abilities and cultivation

Nascent Soul cultivation

Fourth Elder is one of seven Nascent Soul elders in the clan and one of four administering Holy Snow City. He can fight an enemy Nascent Soul cultivator through a prolonged siege and continue functioning after injury. No exact early, middle, or late Nascent Soul stage is stated for him.

Coordinated elder defense

The four Grand Elders divide the city into sectors, jointly erect a glittering shield around Zhou Dekun, and combine power to protect clan members from Spirit Severing pressure. Their defense reduces mass casualties but cannot nullify the higher realm; all pay with blood and injuries.

Holy Snow City formations

Fourth Elder contributes cultivation to the city’s snowstorm shields and later to the evacuation spell. These are prepared clan systems requiring multiple cultivators, not instant personal techniques. The city formations can amplify magic pills dramatically but risk breaking if overused.

Thorn interception

When the awakened Thorn Rampart attacks indiscriminately, Fourth Elder and the other Nascent Soul fighters stop dueling and continually block incoming thorns. This demonstrates reactive defense against a growth capable of exterminating beings below Spirit Severing, not control over the plant itself.
